New 24-page publication, produced and printed with ICRC support, to be distributed to the three branches of Government, humanitarian and development partners, media institutions, all 15 Red Cross chapters, and the general public.
The Liberia National Red Cross Society (LNRCS) has launched the newest edition of its humanitarian news magazine, “Humanity in Action, Hope in Motion,” a 24-page publication chronicling the National Society’s work between January and June 2026. Produced and printed with support from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), the magazine is being rolled out to audiences at every level of Liberian society, from the halls of government to communities served by the Red Cross’s 15 county chapters.
A RECORD OF HUMANITY IN ACTION
The magazine brings together first-hand accounts and reporting from across the country, spotlighting LNRCS’s disaster response operations following the fire outbreaks, windstorms, and flooding that struck multiple counties earlier this year, alongside water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) interventions and other humanitarian programming delivered under the Movement’s Fundamental Principles. Readers will find stories of families rebuilding after disaster, volunteers restoring dignity alongside relief items, and communities working with the Red Cross to strengthen resilience against future shocks.
REACHING EVERY CORNER OF THE NATION
Copies of the publication are being distributed to the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the Liberian Government, to humanitarian and development partners, to media institutions, and to all 15 LNRCS chapters across the country, in addition to being made available to the general public. The wide distribution reflects a deliberate strategy: to keep decision-makers, partners, and citizens alike informed of the scale and reach of the Liberian Red Cross’ humanitarian footprint.
WHY IT MATTERS
For an organization that operates in all 15 counties and responds to emergencies ranging from house fires to seasonal flooding, regular and transparent public reporting is more than a communications exercise. The magazine gives government institutions a documented account of humanitarian needs and response across the country, gives partners a transparent record of how their funding translates into assistance on the ground, and gives ordinary Liberians visibility into an organization that is, in many communities, the first responder when disaster strikes.
It also reinforces accountability — a core commitment for any humanitarian actor — by putting facts, figures, and beneficiary voices directly in front of the public rather than leaving the record to secondhand accounts. In doing so, the publication supports LNRCS’s broader profiling, visibility, and stakeholder-engagement objectives, positioning the National Society as a trusted, transparent partner to government, donors, and the communities it serves.
A WORD FROM LNRCS LEADERSHIP
Speaking on the launch, LNRCS Secretary General and CEO Gregory T. Blamoh said the magazine exists first and foremost to keep the public informed. “This magazine exists to keep the public informed of our humanitarian news, our activities, and the impact of the Red Cross,” Blamoh said.
He added that the publication is also a tool for accountability. “This is also a means of accountability and transparency in what we do for the community and our donor partners. The public needs to know,” he said.

Blamoh said an informed public is ultimately better placed to stand with the Red Cross. “When people understand our work and our impact, as well as our unmet needs, they will make informed decisions to support our work, so that we can reach further and deliver better,” he said.
