Job Purpose:

The Youth and Volunteer Coordinator (YVC) is responsible, under the supervision of the Secretary General, is responsible for the planning, organizing and directing the volunteering development in LNRCS in order to ensure the resuscitation of its volunteer-network. The occupant of this post will provide leadership and serve as the focal person for Liberian Red Cross volunteers. He/she will also work with the heads of the volunteers in the various chapters and branches to develop relevant programs that would ensure that volunteers are active and adhere to the policies of the National Society. The holder of this post will also work to ensure that all volunteers are protected and care for, while ensuring that all of the necessary system to ensure Transparency and Accountability are in place.

Qualification and Experience:

EducationBachelor or Associate Degree in Sociology, Management, of any social scienceCertificate in Psychosocial work, gender-based violence and or peace and conflict management, etc.
ExperienceA minimum of 3 years working experience in social work or related fields preferably in rural area. Working with conflicts, human rights, gender, youths, and women groupsBackground in youth advocacy and volunteerismKnowledge of community developmentExperience working for the LNRCS will be an advantage

Job Purpose:

Under the direct Supervision and the guidance of the Admin & Finance Manager, the Logistics Assistant will be in charge of providing support to the various departments for the management of the logistics activities related to Fleet, Warehouse, Procurement and General Logistics and he /she will perform as necessary miscellaneous job-related duties. He / she will also be in charge of driving the LNRCS team and the materials and equipment for the programs activities when required by the Logistics Coordinator.

 Qualification and Experience:

Experience02 years of working in similar position, Good driving experience in remote areas of Liberia and knowledge of Liberia road network, Experience in working with a wide range of individuals irrespective of culture and socio-economic status. Working experience in Humanitarian environment. RC/RC Experience.

  2. Track the assets in LNRCS’s office and on the field.
  3. Manage the movement of LNRCS assets from one place to another within the Country

  2. Provide assistance for the management of the sourcing, procurement and delivery of national and international goods and services as appropriate in a timely and cost effective manner and in the respect of the LNRCS procurement process.
  3. Obtain quotations, prepare comparative bid analysis and purchase recommendations, purchase appropriate supplies and organize delivery.
  4. Identify and maintain accurate suppliers’ information for regularly-purchased items: keep informed of local market conditions and establish and maintain good working relations with suppliers and inspection companies.

  2. Receive request of movement from the LNRCS team and provide good and timely transportation services to the staff. 
  3. Prepare and manage the daily transportation of the LNRCS and arrange all airport and field movement (pickup and drop up) at arrival or departure (in and out of the Country) for all LNRCS’s staff and Partners.

  5. Help deliver communications and take on errands as they may arise
  6. Ensure that all occupants (including the Driver himself) of the vehicles wear safety seat belts at all times and Driver do not proceed with vehicle until all occupants wears seat belt as strict restriction.
  7. Ensure unauthorized riders do not ride and/or drive assigned vehicles
  8. Ensure regular maintenance of assigned vehicles
  9. Maintains assigned vehicles in clean, polished, flawless operating condition.
  10. Visually inspects and manually tests vehicle pre-departure and before accepting passengers.
  11. Maintains and operates communications devices, emergency response and contingency equipment, including fire extinguisher, flares or reflectors, etc.
  12. Read and understand specific vehicle operating manual
  13. Understand and Obey to all traffic laws and driving rules as set by the LNRCS
  14. Maintain vehicle log up to date and with all the information required
  15. Keep an inventory of the tools and accessories of the vehicles
  16. Provide assistance to the operations with field missions when needed
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.

To support the Finance Officer in financial management and controls, responsible for project accounting and reporting, examine all project control accounts and reconcile them with general ledger records. To implement finance procedures controls and monitor the accounting system and reporting.

Build effective working relationships with other departments, chapters and branches and ensure the flow of relevant information in both directions to ensure the views of communities’ influences key decisions. The coordinator is especially expected to work closely with other program team.

 Qualification and Experience:

 EducationAssociate Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, Management or Finance.
ExperienceAt least two (2) years’ experience in financial business administration, management and or human resource management, accounting and reporting.Proficiency in Excel, Word and key financial software including QuickBooks, etcAbility to manage tasks at key government regulatory institutions.
 Knowledge and SkillsComputerized accounting systems Excellent data analysis skills Self – motivated and fast learner Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
 Language:Very good command of English

  • To assist the program manager prepare their Programme budget and its revision from time to time.
  • To assist the Finance Officer prepare cash forecast and cash request on a timely basis.
  • Process all payment requests (checking budget, fund available, financial procedures, approval authorities, payments through petty cash and check, etc within time depending on urgency of payments
  • Check and process working advances and other settlements.
  • To enter financial data into the system or manual books (cash book), ledger, register, etc) and prepare monthly, quarterly, annual accounts and financial reports to different stakeholders.
  • Support the Finance Officer to prepare monthly budget and expenditure analysis.
  • Examine all control accounts and reconcile them with the general ledger balances.
  • Maintain all records of income and expenditure for the project.
  • Prepare revenue and expenditure analyses and summaries and maintain a record of receipt and payment
  • To prepare expenditure supplies and cash journals and to post the general ledger.
  • Perform office tasks such as filing, data entry, photocopying
  • Perform transactions, issuing checks, updating ledgers and budgets
  • Prepare financial reports and closing monthly records.
  • Assis with audits, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
