Why Workplace First Aid Matters

Every day in Liberia, people suffer injuries or fall ill while on the job, often depending on their colleagues for immediate assistance. Research indicates that first aid training can reduce injury incidence rates by 40%, and timely and effective first aid interventions can lower accident fatality rates by at least 33%. With proper training, employees can respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring safety in the workplace.

Who Can Benefit?

  • Businesses and Corporations: Ensuring employee safety and compliance with occupational health regulations.
  • Government and NGOs: Equipping staff with life-saving skills for fieldwork and office environments.
  • Educational Institutions: Training teachers, administrative staff, and students in first aid.
  • General Public: Individuals interested in learning first aid for personal and community safety.

About Us

The Liberia National Red Cross Society is the single largest national humanitarian organization in Liberia. It is a Voluntary Humanitarian Organization and an auxiliary to the public authorities and the Government, delivering services to the most vulnerable in emergency, including disasters, conflict, civil strife, ill-health and contextual social issues. The Liberian Red Cross is represented in each of the fifteen counties by a chapter and in the districts by a branch, from which we are able to reach regional and remote communities.
