How are we ensuring that lives are saved and communities protected? Here in Liberia we are sensitizing communities about preventive measures against COVID-19 through house to house visit and radio messaging, establishing handwashing stations and promoting regular handwashing, physical distancing, as well as distributing buckets, food, dignity kits and other essential Infection Prevention Control materials.
As the virus spread across the country, we will continue to reach out to the communities to deliver the real information about COVID-19, dispel rumors and clarify misinformation as well as prevent stigma and fear.
We are especially proud to recognize the work of our volunteers and staff who are on the frontline responding to the growing needs of communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The incredible spirit of our volunteers during this crisis is not only a cause for admiration but also a source of inspiration for others to get involved too. Vivian Kollie is a student nurse. She said she is excited to be part of our team of volunteers.
